We tried to tell them!
0 commentsAs we said back in June the scheme to change the direction of traffic on the street, that's been in place since 1989, was a complete waste of money and time.
The council have now decided to revoke the order, revoking the original order, so now Bampfylde Street will have traffic running in both directions.
As people have now become slightly accustomed to the new direction of traffic, after sitting on the Cheeke Street roundabout for 5 minutes staring blankly at the no entry signs, you can be sure there'll be more confusion when it's all turned round as people try and work out if they're allowed down the road or not.
The council have also managed to completely remove the 10 parking spaces, which were originally moved to the opposite side of the road, but will now be scrubbed altogether.
Your tax dollars pounds at work.
As much as we hate to get political on this site, is this display of arse banditry what we can come to expect if Exeter is swallowed up by the county council?
To be fair Exeter City Council are pretty fucking useless too.
