Exeter City Council's parking problem
1 commentOn Friday Tony Mottershaw was walking through the Mary Arches car park saw the view above. A City Council van parked sideways through a disabled space.
The council claimed vehicle had been "responding to an urgent call" in the car park and that it was "parked only for a short period".
You can imagine how these excuses would have been received if it was you or I being taken to task by one of the parking Nazis.
Mr Mottershaw said the driver "appeared to be over doing something at the pay-and-display machine, but there were plenty of other places he could've parked the van".
The 'urgent call' was obviously an emergency sandwich run for city councillors. They just needed a few extra quid from out of our pockets first.
