Sorry, I can't come to work today
Some towns in Cornwall are completely dry, with people driving to Plymouth to get fuel (and ironically burning even more to get there). Both Sainsbury's in Exeter are dry and the Moto services in the M5 is completely out of diesel and ice cream.
What better excuse then for not going to work than you simply cannot get there. "Sorry boss, I can't get to work today, my car won't start".
Hopefully the talks with Unite, which represents the striking drivers will fall flat on it's face and we can all have an extra few days off before the rioting starts when people find out the little independent forecourts are hoarding fuel for their local customers.
Remember, it's all your own fault anyway. At any time at least 50% of all cars on the road have got less than half a tank of fuel or less, so everyone going out for that little top up has really fucked up those who needed a fill.
Well done you, you callous unthinking bastards.
