Police name bombing mentalist

23/05/08 - 0 comments

Police have been searching a flat linked to the man arrested after the explosion in the Giraffe restaurant in Princesshay yesterday.

It may come as no surprise to find out that the mentalist came from Plymouth and police have said Nicky Reilly travelled the 40 miles by bus from Plymouth to Exeter on Thursday.

This is the typical reaction we have come to expect from those Plymouthians, and whilst the true motivation of the attack is still uncertain, it's likely a retaliation attack for us getting into the league. Either that or our shiny new Princesshay has taken away shoppers from the Drakes Circus mall.

Luckily for us all, the incompetence of the Plymouth bomb-maker meant he was the only casualty, as it seems the idiot set the bomb off as he was attempting to prime it whilst locked in the toilets.

The bomb can't have been that powerful either, as when police arrived on scene he was still locked in the cubical, refusing to come out. It hadn't even blown the bloody door off, which is the least you'd expect for some kind of terror attack.

I'll bet there are a fair few bus passengers counting their lucky stars this morning that the bus didn't hit a pothole in our poorly maintained roads and set the damn thing off even more prematurely.

Quite why the target was a fruit smoothie outlet is still unknown, those known bastions of capitalist values are obviously causing a few feathers to be ruffled.

The Giraffe website exclaims "Parties - Good times guaranteed!" We're guessing that a few people might be asking for their money back today.
