Argh! They're coming to get us!
0 commentsFriday night was the night they came for us, or at least that's what dozens of citizens thought as the paper hot-air balloons released as part of a wedding celebration floated quietly over the city.
To be fair, fire was only really discovered about 400,000 years ago so it's bound to take a while to reach some of the further reaches of the empire, but even so.
A police spokesman said: "We had a number of calls. One person said: 'It was a bit odd' another that there were seven separate lights."
Wendy Graham, of Savile Road, St Thomas said: "I have always believed there is something out there but up until now I have never seen anything. I watched them for a full 25 minutes. I am very thrilled."
Michael Soper, from Contact International UFO Research, received at least four reports of the spooky lights. Exeter International Airport confirmed the area was on a flight path and that sometimes military exercises were carried out by Royal Marines in the area.
Not exactly getting to the root of the sightings, rather just spreading more FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt) for UFO-logists to gossip about as the sit outside the pub waiting for the lights to pick them up and take them home.
