Take her in the brown entrance

15/05/08
It's that time of year again when you can show off your prize porker and get well and truly sloshed at the same time. It's Devon County Show-time!

Country folk are swarming into (well past) Exeter today as they try and get to the County Show Grounds. As usual, after the brief few days of glorious sunshine, the County Show weather is dull and miserable so far.

Plenty of local food, and more importantly, drink will be available to feast on, we still have fond memories of circling the drinks tent getting slowly pickled on free samples of Plymouth Gin and locally produced cider. Happy days.

You can also take in the sights of the prize-winning livestock, including the British Blonde Bull that savaged a garden or two when it escaped earlier in the week.

Mind you, if this weather keeps up (and it will) you'll need flippers to get round the show as it looks like it's going to be more muddy than Glastonbury.
