Greedy fucking bastards

South West Water have yet again decided to raise water rates in the South West as part of the firm's five-year ass raping programme from 2005.

The company, which made nearly £100 million pure profit in the last 6 months of 2007 has decided that it's not making enough money for it's shareholders and has decided to simply take it from the poor, needy and infirm.

SWW chief executive Chris Loughlin, the companies self appointed 'sheriff of Nottingham' said although the company was facing higher energy costs they were not passed on to the customer.

Whoop-di-fucking-do! Aren't we all? How about streamlining the management structure and getting rid of Chief Executives and the Vice President Business Development who get exorbitant amounts of cash for doing sod all, and even more if they fuck up and have to resign.

But what can you do, in this consumerist market where monopolies are a bad thing, we're forced to pay this money-grabbing company when other water companies are charging a third less for the same service.

Exeter used to be a nice little city, with affordable housing and reasonable(ish) rates, but with SWW raising their rates, like every other greedy bastard on the region looks like we're all going to need to move to Sussex to get a decent water company.
