Gemini FM comes up with a good idea

21/02/08
The station managers at Gemini FM have finally come up with a good idea, and are running a competition to get listeners as far out of the broadcast area as possible. Probably not a bad idea when Chris Dinnis is on.

It seems that the guys high up are also trying to split up couples who are about to tie the knot, giving prizes to the would be brides who get furthest away from the signal.

As of tomorrow, listeners who haven't defected to Exeter FM can vote on which bride they want to see making a getaway from 6 possible finalists, with only 2 brides being given the chance at winning prizes.

Each bride "will be given £10 each, an independent chaperone from Gemini FM, and 48 hours to get as far away from a secret location in Devon as possible". We're guessing that'll be somewhere in Sowton then.

We would have thought more of the Gemini staff would have volunteered to have been 'chaperones' but it seems that they can only afford 2 of them to go off on a junket at any one time, especially after a budget of nearly £20 has been invested.

The reader who told us about this suggests a vote for Claire Foxwell would be greatly appreciated, although we're guessing that her husband to be has just booked the strippers for his bachelor party stag night (Sorry to the Speak English brigade - Ed) and want her out of the area for safety's sake.

Do him a favour and vote for Claire now!
