New tree in Princesshay

In a shocking U-turn by the city council the new Princesshay development has had a tree planted beside it. This comes after the council have removed numerous healthy trees from the high street and the cathedral green.

The developers have said it was always their intention to have trees as part of the vista, to create movement and some colour to the otherwise concrete and glass structures, but we know that due to the tireless campaigning of ourselves and other less well known local papers, this is a win in the campaign for greenery.

Exactly how many trees are actually going to be part of the new development has not been reviled, but with the council promising 10,000 trees planted in Exeter we may end up with quite a forest.
