Smoking ban gets tough
Armed police units will be stationed in some of the city's larger municipal buildings ensuring that a high police presence is felt.
Stephen Ayres, of Exeter Airport, said it was taking sensible precautions.
"As of last night we've been restricting what passengers can do when they come to the terminal," he said.
Open spaces like the road and fields will not have restrictions facing them, but school playgrounds are a definite no-no.
For the time being however, it is legal to smoke in your own home, unless you need a plumber, who can sue you if you smoke up to 2 hours before they arrive.
There's a gap in the market here. Smoking professionals, who'll come out to your house, fix your stuff and not give a hoot if you smoke or not.
And they say an Englishman's home is his castle.
