Smoke 'em if you got 'em

As businesses and bus stops around the region have stuck no smoking signs everywhere, you can't help but notice the country-wide smoking ban coming into effect tomorrow.

One last bastion of defiance in the high street is McGahey's tobacconist. Whilst technically you can't enter the shop whilst smoking, you can buy a sample of tobacco or a cigar and smoke it in the premises.

As of Monday though, any open space is fair game, whist the old smoking room will be outlawed. Expect to see more 'no smoking' signs than ever before as companies can be fined £200 for not posting the signs. They're bound to err on the side of caution and put too many signs up rather than too few.

Next year Gordon Brown will be banning cars because of the noxious gasses they produce, as well as assigning every family a 'nanny' who can ensure that everyone is safe and tucked up in bed at night.
