School Plague

No, not another problem with a Carillion owned school, but the result of an end of term prank at Exeter School.

During a parents Buffet, the leaving 6th-form class released around 4000 crickets before fellow leavers waiting at a local pub were notified of the celebrations by text message on their last day at the school before heavy revision for A-levels started.

"Some of us felt it was a bit over the top. But the school does pride itself on producing creative pupils. We were just fulfilling a school tradition," one student insisted, "there are always practical jokes on the last full day before exams.

"Two years ago two guys dressed up as chickens, invaded the final assembly and posted their efforts on the internet.

"Last year’s leavers were a bit lame and just chucked some benches in the swimming pool. A few dressed up as superheroes to water-bomb people."

This years leavers were determined to make more of an impression.

"The headmaster is a bit of a disciplinarian and doesn’t like pranks. Everyone saw that attitude as a challenge."
