Low speed police chase in Newton Abbot
0 commentsThe scooter was left unsecured and unattended in a communal hallway in warden-assisted flats and is believed to have been hot-wired and driven off by joy riders.
The scooter, worth £800, was a burgundy red colour, under-lighting, nearly £15 worth of ICE and a Scottish Terrier in the black basket on the front.
Police caught up with the thieves and started a low-speed pursuit through Newton Abbot, before loosing them in a narrow alleyway after the thieves threw the dog from the moving carriage.
It's thought that the theft was in relation to illegal street racing in Bovey Tracey and the cart has probably been resprayed and rebadged already.
Any information regarding the theft or the whereabouts of the scooter should go to to PC Jules Golledge at Newton Abbot police station on 08452 777444 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
