All set for a hot bank holiday

It's beginning to look like the bank holiday weekend is going to be a scorcher, bringing scores of grockles down to our lovely region.

The Met Office has the whole weekend pegged for bright sunshine with partial cloud cover coming in from Saturday, temperatures pushing towards 20°C.

Exmouth and Dawlish are bound to be crawling with holiday-makers jostling for a place in the sunlight before they all turn lobster red.

Our advice is to stay in with a crate of beers (or white wine/fruit based drinks for the ladies), pull the curtains and settle down to a good DVD or 12.

If you do brave it out into the sunshine expect long queues for the bar at Double Locks, Turf Locks, the City Gate or anywhere with a beer garden.
