Weather experiment goes wrong

28/02/07 - 0 comments
Reports are coming in of a weather experiment carried out last night in the High Street after a rogue bolt of lightning struck the Boots clock.

The clock, the only one in the high street, has been stuck at midnight ever since a crazy haired old man and a young boy were seen driving recklessly toward the clock at the same time it was struck.

People coming out of TimePeice have reported seeing a grey, or chrome car travelling at about 90 MPH before disappearing in a bright flash of light.

"There was some kind of antenna coming from the back of the car, and what looked like a cable stretched between the traffic lights" said one witness.

There were no skidmarks or any sign of wreckage on the road this morning, however what looks like tread marks have been burnt into the road in the same place as the vehicle was last seen.

A spokesman from Boots confirmed that neither they, or the council had given any permits for a weather experiment that night.
