Echo responds to readers comments

OK, so they haven't responded to the comments, how likely was that, but they have issued a statement which makes interesting reading.

They state that in the story about the new strip club "four of the postings were made by just two people". Hmmm, last time we checked there were 10 comments listed, so that's still 6 people being silenced.

Shame the Echo cannot take a good joke like other local rags.

It's also noticeable that while article (titled Exposed) is still on the site, it has been removed from their listings altogether.

The echo has now put a link at the bottom of it's 'comeback' to the original story, which now includes a full transcript of the video.

As Mrs Eyre says herself: "The Express & Echo have had their field day and tried to turn it negative, so now it’s gonna be all about the people".
