Carillion fail to deliver pissup in brewery
0 commentsPaul Ruff from St Peters school said "We have done a risk assessment and at the moment we can use a tiny bit of the grass, provided children wear full tracksuits and don't fall over." Isn't that what a playing field is for?
Initially St Peter's School was affected and now St Luke's is getting exactly the same issue.
St Luke's director of specialism(??) and assistant headteacher Dave Holt said problems with the pitch had been ongoing since staff and students moved to the new school a year ago.
Carillion is still trying to remove grit on the pitches - the biggest playing area in the new Exeter schools - and has also experimented with keeping the grass longer.
Longer grass, surely that will just hide the gravel rather than actually removing it. Students have reportedly taken to playing rugby in the playgrounds as there's less gravel there than on the sports 'field'.
