Police raid Sowton warehouse

10/01/07 - 0 comments
Devon and Cornwall police raided a warehouse in Sowton of the early hours of the morning after a tip off that a monkey knife fight was taking place.

When police arrived a number of SUVs and other cars sped from the area onto the M5, although it is thought the new SPEC cameras may have picked up the vehicles as they left.

A number of simians were found locked in cages brandishing weapons from knuckle dusters to full samurai swords.

Once again it has raised the issue of how easy it is for monkeys to get their hands on dangerous weaponry which could be a danger to the public.

Many of the animals were rabid and needed to be put down. Instead of an humane lethal injection, police decided to let the fights go ahead as it would save on resources.

After an hour one chimp, which officers nicknamed Clyde, emerged victorious shortly before he was shot by a police marksman.

All profits went to the policemans ball.
