You do the math
Dear Ed,
I think perhaps the town planners have got carried away with their poshing up process of our fair city. The concept of fractions can always be a bit tricky I suppose.
You may have noticed that poor old Sidwell Street doesn't benefit from such extravagant renaming. Any argument that it lies outside the old Roman wall doesn't stack up - as neither does that nicer looking Southernhay. So I hereby propose a new city centre sign (complete with non functioning interactive touch screen) - directing us to the marvellous Poundland et. al. situated in the "Forgotten Third".
Compliments of the Season to you, yer missus, and all the readers of your marvellous corner of the interweb.
Cap'n Ahab
Well, you've got to hand it to them, Exeter City Council are consistent. It wouldn't be so bad if they weren't so absolutely piss poor at everything they do, but there we go.
You would have thought that the "Grecian Quarter", the original quarter, would have gotten a look in somewhere, but that would just be too much to ask, Also it takes us up to one and a half Exeters, and they're having enough problems looking after just one.
Have a good Christmas, and try not to drink all the rum.
