Another American kid shoots everyone in sight
Cho Seung-Hui was a nutcase, pure and simple. You want proof? Read his short story about a boy who tries to kill his step father. He seems to get the role of paranoid psycho right down to a T.

At least he had the consideration to post a warning on the schools online forums. "im going to kill people at vtech today," they said he wrote, although it was probably removed by a moderator, dooming everyone on site.
Already claims that violent computer games spurred him on have come flooding out of the mouths of media whores like Dr Phil who, speaking on Larry King Live, said “We are programming these people as a society. Common sense tells you that if these kids are playing video games, where they’re on a mass killing spree in a video game, it’s glamorized on the big screen, it’s become part of the fibre of our society. You take that and mix it with a psychopath, a sociopath or someone suffering from mental illness and add in a dose of rage, the suggestibility is too high." (On a side note Dr Phil has no listed qualifications on his website, so how exactly he claims to be a doctor is beyond me).
Oddly enough, all reports that I've read simply state Cho would stare at his empty desk blankly for hours, and liked to download music when he wasn't catatonic. Should we blame iTunes for the deaths? How about Marilyn Manson? Hell, let's blame everyone but the psychotic nutter who shot everyone in the first place.
It should be noted that this guy first of all killed his ex-girlfriend at around 7am before returning to his own dorm room where he re-armed, left the note saying "You caused me do this", then went to across the campus, spread over 2,600 acres and consists of over 100 buildings, and holding himself in a classroom at about 9am when the rest of the killings occurred.
Students and faculty members with concealed handgun permits are prohibited from bringing their weapons onto campus by VTech policies, although some argue that if the victims had been armed to the teeth Cho would have been taken out of the picture a lot sooner. Is anyone else reminded of the banned X-Box ad?
Either way, Americans need to realise that letting every Tom, Dick and Cho carry guns is a really bad idea.
(And yes, we know he was actually South Korean).
