Sony want to fuck you hard in the ass
After recent strategies in their campaign against end users went tits up and people realised Sony were putting programs on their computers without permission, Sony have identified a new problem with consumers.
A copy protection system is only as secure as it's weakest link and Sony have found that when people put their DVD's into a DVD player it can be watched on the TV or monitor connected to the player. This is called the 'analogue hole'.
The newly released films "Stranger than Fiction" and "The Holiday" both refuse to load on a standard DVD player. Instead they boot up to the title screen then after about 60 seconds the player turns itself off, stopping anyone from viewing the film. The perfect protection.
A Sony spokesman said: "We know about this problem. Its our new copy protection that's making these discs unplayable in some players including our own, we do not intend to change the copy protection. The only correction to this problem is a firmware update to your player."
When asked where the update for Sony DVD players was: "We do not have one as yet. It could be 2 weeks it could be a month, we don’t know."
Sony: Making life difficult for everyone.
