"We're all going to die!"

10/04/07
Climate scientist Martin Parry, who works at the MET Office in Exeter has revealed shocking information about the future of our planet.

Professor Parry is co-chairman of the United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change who recently published a report predicting that the world will face increasingly frequent heatwaves, floods, storms, fires and droughts, causing deaths and the displacement of hundreds of millions of people across the globe.

Prof Parry said evidence showed that climate change was already having a direct effect on animals, plants and water. He said: "For the first time, we are no longer arm-waving with models. This is empirical data."

Maurice Spurway, of Exeter Friends of the Earth, said: "We now face a global catastrophe that gives us an opportunity to meet the challenge of climate change", before later adding "You Maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!".
