North Devon school on TV makeover

The pupils of Chagford Primary School were delighted with the outhcome of the first in a new series of School Makeovers to be shown later in the year on Channel 4.

Reality TV company Endemol [1] approached the school earlier in the year with the project and the whole school was curtained off during the renovations ready for the big moment.

Presented by 'H' from Steps, the show was a hit with the kids who thought they had 'done a great job" and were 'very pleased with the results' which had 'made it very welcoming'.

As with all these things there were some interesing design choices including colour coded rooms. Whoever chose the puce-green really should be hit with a stick.

The pupils were back to work in the newly refurbished classrooms on Monday, although some had to be treated for fume inhilation as veneer in the gym wasn't quite dry.
