Daily Mail get it wrong again
0 commentsThe editorial standards at the Daily Mail are obviously much worse than ours. Yesterday they published a story about the iPhone getting a recall based on a tweet from a blatantly fake account.
Not getting the news right doesn't seem to be particularly uncommon these days, but to then go and pull the article completely and not issue a correction would seem like someone trying to cover their own arse for a very stupid mistake.
By all account, the article in question did manage to get quite a lot of information right about the various faults and problems that iPhone users have encountered but went to press without a secondary source or confirmation from Apple itself.
We can only assume someone then realised their mistake and deleted it quick sharp before the boss got in and hopped no-one would notice. Unfortunately for them, several blogs have screen-shots of the article for all to see.
