A dogging good time
0 commentsThere were a few extra road signs in the Cotswolds recently, until someone noticed that in Barrow Wake near Cirencester, a few 'Dogging' tourist signs had been put up.
It's not even as if these signs were put up simply as a joke as they did direct the way to one of the area's notorious dogging hot-spots.
Apparently furious locals soon ripped the signs down, although according to the Highways agency, it does fit the bill as a "place[s] of interest, open to the public, offering recreation" and could almost be described as a natural attraction with one hell of a viewpoint.
Local resident David Parkinson said: "It does tend to make the lives of local residents impossible.
"The viewpoint itself is one of the best in the area, fantastic views across Gloucestershire across the Malverns.
"You park there and you get accosted by people after 'stranger sex', I believe the terminology is. It's become a no-go area for residents."
