0 commentsPhysicist Steven Hawking has been seriously injured after a dramatic three-hour siege at his exclusive Derriford property.
The Plymouth Herald reports that: "After a tense stand-off with armed police Hawking took to the roof of his five-bedroom house before finally being shot with a baton round and Taser gun"
"Wielding a blowtorch, he hurled down slates and smashed tiles against his own head before finally throwing himself to the ground."
In total he broke 9 ribs and his collar bone, probably when his wheelchair fell on top of him, and was sentenced to 11 years in prison when he appeared at Plymouth Crown Courts yesterday.
