Glastonbury to be cancelled

17/04/09 - 0 comments

There has been no official word yet from festival organiser Michael Eavis, but checking weather site MetCheck.com shows that we're in for one hell of a soaking.

The forecasts point toward nearly 48 miles (that's 77,241,600 mm) of rain falling by 1pm on the Saturday, with temperatures approaching 1500°C, so maybe all that rain might evaporate.

The most concerning figure for attendees will surely be the 900 mph winds that will be blowing across the Glastonbury plains.

Worrying to say the least.

Thanks to @bengoldacre (via @rogermilton) for the update.
