Badgers cause blackout

Badgers have savaged a power substation in Barnstaple causing power failures for around 600 houses in the area.

Western Power Distribution found 16 badgers drinking alcopops, listening to rap music and vandalising the station, causing thousands of pounds worth of damage.

A number of PCSOs, who were first on the scene, were savaged after confronting the cete and needed treatment by members of St. Johns Ambulance and a bit of a sit down.

Western Power Distribution had begun being restoring power within the hour and members of the RSPCA were on hand to move the badgers on.
