Happy holidays

26/05/08
One holiday maker in Tokyo is having a very good time after customs officials at Japan's Narita airport lost 1/3 of a pound of cannabis is a passengers luggage.

An official hid a package in a a randomly selected suitcase as a test of airport security, to see whether the airports sniffer dogs could find the drugs as they passed through.

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it) the dogs failed to detect the scent and the package sailed through the customs channels with no problem.

The officer in charge then could not remember which bag he had put it in and it left the airport without challenge. Anyone finding the package are asked to contact customs officials.

"This case was extremely regrettable. I would like to deeply apologise," said Narita International Airport's customs head Manpei Tanaka.
