No TV and no beer make Rangers go crazy

Around 100,000 Rangers fans went mental on Wednesday following the Uefa cup when a malfunctioning giant TV screen caused problems for fans.

After a sound ass-whooping from finalists Zenit St Petersburg the Rangers fans, fuelled by Scottish rage, rioted through the streets of Manchester causing nearly £17 worth of damage.

Fans who had been waiting in Piccadilly Gardens all day were unimpressed when the giant TV screen there failed about 15 minutes before kick off.

One said: "This is absolutely ridiculous - there's Rangers fans throwing bottles and cans at each other because the game's not on."
