0 commentsPolice in Brixham have started producing a monthly Plod-cast as part of a community liaison service and to appeal for information about crimes in the area.
In the first broadcast Brixham-based Sgt. Dave Casley introduces new PCSO Paul Martin to the local community, although we never actually see him on screen.
The 10 minute 'webcast' is filmed and produced by the officers themselves (and you can tell) although they are hoping to become more ambitious as time goes on. Hopefully the framing will be a little less awkward and a little bit of movement would be nice.
Sgt Casley said he came up with the whole idea while slacking in his office watching videos of car crashes on YouTube when he was supposed to be checking the scum hadn't hung themselves in the cells. Good use of his time if you ask us.
This is the same force (sorry, service) that last year introduced a Sticker-book of community support officers with sections specialising in different aspects of the job, such as its helicopter, traffic and it's most sought after K9 sections.
