A Russian priest has said he was tricked in to blessing a striptease club after being told it was used as a ballet school.

The priest, Father Nickolai, blessed Studio 74 but claims he had no idea what it was used for. Apparently he took the owners word that it was a ballet school, although how they explained away the pole on the stage and the somewhat stained private dance booths is a mystery.

A spokesman for Studio 74 said "Ever since we had this sacred act performed on our premises customers say they have experienced an entirely new atmosphere here and more people are coming in. The blessing seems to be working."
