Liverpool? What's that?
The website has refused to create a Liverpool group, instead insisting scousers join the Manchester group instead. Apparently they don't see the difference the 30-mile divide has.
Around 30,000 Liverpudlians signed a petition to get the group set up so they didn't have to share that of their Manc neighbours. By our reckoning that's around 7% of the entire population of the city that are signed up to the network, only to be told it would not be included in Facebook's database of UK cities.
This does not bode well for Exeter, which as of 2001 had a population of only 111076 people and only 2804 signed up to their petition, just over 2.5% of the overall population.
Oh well, instead of joining the Plymouth network you can show your Exeter pride by joining our fan club instead.
